Uses of algae

 It is used as food by man and other animals such as fish.

 They add oxygen to water which is breathed in by water ani-

mals.

 They are used in making fertilizers

 They are microscopic

 They are found in water and on land in damp places and in

other by cilia e.g. paramecium
