Uses of algae
It is used as food by man and other animals such as fish.
They add oxygen to water which is breathed in by water ani-
mals.
They are used in making fertilizers

They do not have chlorophyll but capture their
food or engulfing using pseudopodia
They are microscopic
They are found in water and on land in damp places and in
body of animals as parasites.
They reproduce by means of pseudopodia e.g. amoeba while
other by cilia e.g. paramecium
