         Abomasum (true stomach)


         Digestion by enzymes takes place here.


         NB: From abomasum to the rectum, digestion is the same as in
         non-ruminants.




         Pasture




         Roughages

         They include hay (dried grass), silages (preserved green pas-

         ture), green grass, pasture, legumes, straws, maize stalks.
