Advantages of Fold pen system

 Birds are restricted from movements.

 Farm products such as manure, eggs are easily collected.

 It is cheaper when handling a small number of birds.

 Parasites and diseases are easy to control.

 The folds are easy to make.

 Birds are protected f rom wild animals.

Disadvantages of Fold pen system

 Only a small number of birds can be kept in a fold.

 Birds do not get enough physical exercise.

 It is tiresome to move the pen.

 The folds get old easily due to frequent movements

 The system is not suitable for swampy or flooded areas.

 It’s ideal for a limited number of chicken
