How to control egg eating

1. Feed the chicken well

2. De-beak the birds

3. Hang vegetables for birds to feed on and keep them busy.

4. Add more calcium sources to bird feed

5. Remove the eggs in time

6. Provide laying boxes.

7. Identify the egg eaters and remove them from the house.

8. Keeping laying boxes in the dark.

9. Remove broken egg shell from the house immediately.

10.Paint laying nests black

11.Provide enough space to birds.

Feather Pecking

This is where birds peck off their own
feathers or other birds’ feathers.

Causes of feather pecking

 Overcrowding

 Boredom

 Lack of enough space

 Bright light in the poultry house

 Lack of proper nutrients in the mash given to birds
