Disadvantages of artificial brooding

 Chicks can die if there isn’t enough heat and warmth.

 It is expensive to buy feeds for chicks

 Toe pecking among the chicks is difficult to control

 The chicks need constant and a special person to look after

them

Types of Artificial Brooding

There are mainly 2 types of artificial brooding

1. Kerosene Brooder

2. Infra-red lamp brooder
