Causes of Fowl Vices

 Over crowdedness of poultry

 Insufficient feeding or poor feeding

 When the birds are bored.

 Bleeding due to injuries – Birds tend to peck on other

birds wounds

Cannibalism

This where birds prey on
each other. Birds normal-

ly peck on each other’s

vent, skin, feathers,

comb and toes.

Signs of cannibalism include;

blood stains, constant fighting,

pecked feathers.

Cannibalism is caused by;

 Starvation, poor feeding of chicken

 Introduction of new chicken in the house especially of dif-

ferent appearance.

 When the chicken get bored.

 Overcrowding chicken.

 Injuries. When a chicken is injured the blood stains attract

other chicken thinking that it’s something to eat.
