How to control feather pecking

 Provide birds with enough feeds in time

 Provide structures such as perches in the poultry house

 Give birds mash containing the proper nutrients.

(minerals, proteins, vitamins)

 Isolate the pecked birds

 Provide enough space for birds

 De-beaking birds

 Hang up vegetables in the poultry house

General control of poultry vices

 Improve on housing, lighting and setting better laying

places.

 Install perches for chicken to play or rest

 Debeak all the birds

 Hang bundles of greens to occupy the birds

 Provide enough feeds in time

 Isolation of birds involved in vices such as cannibalism

 Wounded birds should also be segregated and given prop-

er treatment.

 Overcrowding of the birds must be immediately corrected.

 Pick eggs in time
