ACCIDENTS AND FIRST AID

What is an accident?

An accident is a sudden happening that causes harm to the

body. Accidents can take place anywhere: they may happen at

home, school, place of work, on the pitch, etc.

First aid

This is the first help given to a person who has got an accident

(a casualty) before he/she is taken to hospital for further

treatment.

Some accidents which require first aid

 Burns  Drowning

 Fever  Nose bleeding

 Convulsions h  Poisoning
