Sex determination

         Sex of a child is determined by chromosomes found on the


         gametes /sex cells. There are X and Y chromosomes. XX chro-
         mosomes are for girls and XY for boys.







































         Signs of Pregnancy

          Implantation bleeding. A very small amount of bleeding or

            spotting that occurs shortly before the menstrual period. It

            is less than a regular menstrual bleeding and comes earlier.


          Cramping in the lower abdomen.


          White milky vaginal discharge.


          Sickness, nausea and vomiting.


          Tiredness and fatigue.

          Positive blood pregnancy test.


          A missed menstrual period.
