Reptiles are animals that are cold-blooded. Most reptiles lay
eggs and their skin is covered with hard, dry scales.
Types of Reptiles
There are many types of reptiles. The main categories are
snakes, crocodiles and alligators, turtles, and lizards.
Characteristics of reptiles
They lay eggs which are fertilized internally.
They have external ears (apart from snakes).
They cold blooded animals
They breathe by mean of lungs
With exception of snakes, they have four limbs with claws.
Their skin is covered with scales
