Gonorrhoea
It is a venereal disease caused by a bacterium called gonococci
(sing gonococcus). It is spread through unprotected sexual in-
tercourse with an infected person.
Signs in men
Pain when urinating
Discharge of pus from the penis
Painful swelling on the testicles
Rash and sores on the genital areas
Signs in women
Slight pain when urinating
Sometimes very painful monthly periods.
Vaginal discharge of smelly pus
Pain in the lower abdomen.
Signs in babies
Red and swollen eyes
Pus coming out of the baby eyes
Blindness
