Gonorrhoea

         It is a venereal disease caused by a bacterium called gonococci

         (sing gonococcus). It is spread through unprotected sexual in-

         tercourse with an infected person.


         Signs in men


          Pain when urinating


          Discharge of pus from the penis


          Painful swelling on the testicles

          Rash and sores on the genital areas



         Signs in women

          Slight pain when urinating


          Sometimes very painful monthly periods.


          Vaginal discharge of smelly pus


          Pain in the lower abdomen.


         Signs in babies


          Red and swollen eyes


          Pus coming out of the baby eyes

          Blindness
