Uses of crustaceans

They are eaten as food by man.

Some are used as baits in fishing industry.

These are arthropods with four pairs

of legs and their bodies are divided into
two main body parts. (cephalothorax and abdo-

          men)

          Examples of arachnids

          1. Spiders

 They have special organ at the end of their abdomen called

              spinnerets for spinning their webs.

 They breathe through lung books

 They use their webs for movement, building their nets,

trapping their prey and finding their way back.

 They reproduce by laying eggs.

Reasons why spiders are not classified as insects.

          1. They have two main body parts instead of three

          2. Spiders have four pairs of jointed legs instead of three.

          3. Spiders use lung books for breathing while insects use

              spiracles.
