          2. Ticks


           They live on the skin of animals

           They feed on blood


           They spread many diseases in domestic animals e.g. East

              coast fever, red water, heart water, and typhus fever in hu-

              mans.




          Tick borne diseases can be controlled on the farm by:


          1. Dipping and spraying the animals with respective pesti-

              cides.


          2. Grazing animals on new pasture.

          3. By double fencing (best method).
