Typhus
An infectious disease caused by bacteria called rickettsia, char-
acterized by a purple rash, headaches, fever
Spread when lice bites an infected person and then it bites a
health person
Plague
Plague is an infectious disease caused by
the bacterium Yersinia pestis. Symptoms include fe-
ver, weakness and headache. Usually this begins one to
seven days after exposure.
Spread by rat fleas
Rabies
A contagious and fatal viral disease of dogs and other mam-
mals, transmissible through the saliva to humans and causing
madness and convulsions.
Caused by a virus which affects the nerv-
ous system.
The disease spreads by a bite of
an infected dogs and other ani-
mals especially wild ones.
