     General functions of the liver
         1. Detoxifies and purifies blood
         2. Stores glucose in form of glyco-
            gen, minerals, vitamins
         3. Breaks down stored fats to
            produce energy
         4. Produces bile and excretes it                                                                when
            no longer needed
         5. Excretes unwanted drugs, hormones, cholesterol
         6. Metabolises proteins, fats, carbohydrates.
         The Large Intestine (Colon)
         The large intestines/colon is made up of the cecum, ascending
         colon, transverse colon, descending colon, rectum and anus
         There is no digestion that takes place in the colon.
