Rusting

Rusting is a chemical reaction which needs the presence of wa-

ter and oxygen. A metal gets a brown coating called rust. Oxy-

gen and water are the requirements needed for rusting to take

place.

Requirements of rusting

While burning needs only oxygen, for iron to rust both Oxygen

and water or moisture should be present.
