Burning

 Burning is a chemical reaction in which heat and light are

            produced

 The gas that is given out during burning is carbon dioxide

 The gas that is needed for burning to take place is oxygen
         .
         Similarities between burning and rusting

         1. Both require oxygen to take place

         2. Both are chemical changes or reactions
         .
         Differences between burning and rusting

         1. Burning needs only oxygen to take place while rusting needs

            both oxygen and moisture

         2. Rusting applies to specific metals (iron) while burning ap-

            plies to anything.
