Burning
Burning is a chemical reaction in which heat and light are
produced
The gas that is given out during burning is carbon dioxide
The gas that is needed for burning to take place is oxygen
.
Similarities between burning and rusting
1. Both require oxygen to take place
2. Both are chemical changes or reactions
.
Differences between burning and rusting
1. Burning needs only oxygen to take place while rusting needs
both oxygen and moisture
2. Rusting applies to specific metals (iron) while burning ap-
plies to anything.
