            Muslims do not eat pork

              Catholics do not eat meat during lent on Fridays

                 Muslims do not eat meat of an animal slaughtered by

               non-muslim

                                 Certain clans in Uganda’s tribes are not al-

                                         lowed to certain plants and animals’ flesh

                                          because they are totems

                                           Hindi Indians do not eat cows

                                            Some Nigerians cultures believe that

                                                children who eat eggs will become

                                                THIEVES!

                                               In many tribes of Asia, Eating meat is

       bad.




   A food belief is a feeling that is established by certain tribes to be
   true or real about food.

    Women and girls are not supposed to eat chicken or fish.

    Men are not supposed to eat oil nuts.

    Children and babies are not supposed to eat eggs.
