         Honey bees undergo a complete metamorphosis


         Swarming



         A Swarm is a group of bees moving together.

         Swarming is the massive movement of bees from one place to

         another.

         Reasons for Swarming in bees

          When bees are over crowdedness of bees in the hive.

          When another queen bee is produced.

          Shortage of food and water within the area

          Problems with the hive itself such as; overheating through

            direct sunlight and lack of adequate ventilation

          Dampness and bad smell around the hive.

          Presence of threats in the environment.

          Disturbance from the environment e.g. noise, bad smell, etc.

          Something wrong with hive e.g. damage, etc.
