Regular shaped objects
A regular object has sides which form standard polygons, such
as square, rectangle, trapezoid, parallelogram, triangle, penta-
gon, hexagon, etc...
.
We find the volume of regular objects by multiplying the base
area of the object by its height.
E.g. Volume of a cube, cuboid = L x W x H
Irregular shaped objects
Irregular objects are those whose sides do not form standard
polygons e.g. stones, keys, needles, shoes, sweet potato tuber,
cassava tuber etc.
The volume of irregular shaped objects is measured by using
the displacement method.
We can not use this method for objects that float without dis-
placing any liquid.
