1. Female anopheles mosquitoes spread a protozoan called
plasmodia which causes malaria in man.
2. Culex mosquitoes spread worms called Filarial which caus-
es elephantiasis
3. Aedes or tiger mosquitoes spread a virus causes dengue
fever and yellow fever in human beings.

Life cycle of mosquitoes
a. Adult mosquitoes lay eggs in stagnant water.
b. After 2-3 days the eggs hatch into larva called Wranglers
which breathe through a spiracle on the tail end called Si-
phon.
c. The larva develop into called Tumblers which breathes
through a pair of spiracles called breathing trumpets
d. After 2-3 weeks from eggs a fully grown adult comes out of
the pupa.
