Butterflies and moths
They undergo complete metamorphosis
Female lays eggs mainly on the underside of the leaves
Eggs hatch into larva / caterpillars which feed on leaves
The larva spins a cocoon around itself and changes into
pupa/chrysalis which does not move or eat i.e. it is
dormant.
When the adult is full grown, it breaks the pupa case and
comes out.
