Fruits
A fruit is a mature ovary. It’s the structure of a flowering plant
that contains seeds.
A fruit has two scars while seeds have one.
Fruits contain seeds and help to disperse the when eaten by
animals.
There are 2 types of fruits; Dry and Succulent fruits.
1. Succulent Fruits or Juicy Fruits
These are fruits whose pericarp and mesocarp become juicy
and fleshy and can be eaten. They are divided into three
groups.
a. Berries
b. Drupes
c. Pomes.
Berries
These are fruits with many seeds. The soft pericarp is divided
into three layers.
i. Epicarp
ii. Mesocarp
iii.Endocarp

Oranges, Tomatoes, Pawpaw
