Types of respiration
1. Aerobic respiration - Is respiration which uses oxygen.
2. Anaerobic respiration -Is respiration which takes place in
absence of oxygen and in which food substances are only
partly broken down. It produces lactic acid in animals and
alcohol in parts. It occurs in muscles during exercise.

Diseases that attack the breathing/respiratory system
is a voluntary or involuntary act that clears the

throat and breathing passage of foreign particles,
microbes, irritants, fluids, and mucus; it is a rapid
expulsion of air from the lungs. Coughing can be
done deliberately or as part of a reflex.
Tubercu- It mainly affects the lungs. It is spread through the
losis (TB) air. The classic symptoms of active TB infection
are a chronic cough with blood sputum, fever,
night sweats, and weight loss.

Influenza Influenza, commonly called "the flu", is an infec-
tious disease caused by influenza viruses. Symp-
toms range from mild to severe and often include
fever, runny nose, sore throat, muscle pain, head-
ache, coughing, and fatigue. These symptoms typi-
cally begin 1–4 days after exposure to the virus
and last for about 2–8 days.
