Whoop- Whooping cough (pertussis) is a highly conta-

it's marked by a severe hacking cough followed by
a high-pitched intake of breath that sounds like
"whoop.
Bronchi- Bronchitis is an inflammation of the lining of your
bronchial tubes, which carry air to and from your

lungs. People who have bronchitis often cough up
thickened mucus, which can be discolored.

Pneumo- Pneumonia is an infection that inflames the air

isms, including bacteria, viruses and fungi, can
cause pneumonia.
Diphthe- Diphtheria is a serious infection caused by

ria strains of bacteria called Corynebacterium diph-
theriae that make toxin (poison). It can lead to dif-
ficulty breathing, heart failure, paralysis, and even
death.
