Disadvantages of Mulching

 Dry mulches can be fire hazards

 Mulching is capable of harbouring certain harmful diseases and

pests because of the fact that it can provide a very conducive

breeding environment for harmful pests and disease causing or-

            ganisms to live and multiply.

 Mulches may be a source of seeds of weeds.

 Mulching can be expensive to apply. This is very true if the garden

or farm is a very large one.

 Some types of mulches can end up releasing toxic to the soil after

            the mulch decomposes.

         Crop Rotation

This is the growing of different crops on the same piece of land sea-

sonally. Crop rotation was discovered by Lord Shed Town

Crop rotation is also used to control pests and diseases that can

become established in the soil over time. The changing of crops in a

sequence decreases the population level of pests by interrupting pest

life cycles and interrupting pest habitat.
