FUNGI

Fungi are any of a group of spore-producing organ-

isms feeding on organic matter, including

moulds, yeast, mushrooms, and toadstools.

 Fungi are living organisms which feed

on dead decaying matter (saprophytes)

 They grow in moistened places

 Their bodies are made up of branched threads

called hyphae

 The hyphae make their bodies called Mycelium

 Most fungi reproduce by means of spores

Examples of fungi

 Mushroom, Toad stools, Puff ball, Yeast , Moulds
