          Loss of income


          AIDS leads to depression, frustration and worries to an indi-

            vidual.


          An individual can be abandoned by the friends due to fear of
            the disease


          The infections cause death.




         2. Family


         a. Some children in the family may be infected with HIV/AIDS


         b. Reduction of the labour force in the family

         c. Children become orphans when parents die.

         e. Family members are separated when different relatives take

            care of them.

         f.  The family may experience shortage of basic needs in case

            the AID victims are parents




         3. Community


         a. Loss of skilled man power


         b. May lead to child-headed families when parents are lost

         c. Breakdown of social order / families


         d. Shortage of productive population


         e. It leads to low economic development

         f.  It constrains government funds that would have done other

            important things to treating victims
