Characteristics of meat producers

1. They grow fast

2. Many breeds among them are disease resistant

2. Milk Producers (Dairy)

Characteristic of dairy breeds

1. They have large udders

2. They produce more milk
3. They are not muscular although they have large bones.

3. Wool Producers

These are mostly exotic breeds of goats which grow much fur.

This fur is cut off as wool to make clothing.

Examples include; Angora goat, Cashmere goat, Nigora goat,

Pygora goat
