Feeding of goats
Goats eat green grass and shrubs. These contains nutrients
needed for energy, body repair and growth.
Goats can also feed on leftover food and peelings. However,
leftover foodstuff containing dairy products can cause the
goats health problems because they are herbivores.
Milk breeds of goats should be provided with more water.
In addition to pasture, grain feed or grain mix can add protein,
vitamins, and minerals to your goats' diet.
Categories of breeds of goats
There are mainly two types namely:
1. Meat producers. The meat breeds
2. Milk producers or dairy breeds
