Feeds for Pigs
Pigs can eat grass or vegetables and kitchen scrabs. (both
cooked and uncooked human food) while piglets feed on their
mother’s milk until weaning time.
Categories of feeds
1. Creep feeds - Creep Feeds are high quality pellets that offer
several protein options. It’s given to piglets of less than 8
weeks.
2. Sow and weaner’s meal - It is a complete feed for all types of
sows, gilts and breeding boars. It is formulated to be fed to
sows throughout their breeding cycle
3. Finishers or Fatteners meal – This is given to fully grown
pigs weighting to be sold
