9. Iron Deficiency Anaemia
Iron deficiency anaemia is a disease caused by the deficiency
of iron in the body. It is characterized by a decrease in the red
blood cell count or hemoglobin in the body, resulting in fa-
tigue, weakness and paleness of eyelids, hands and lips.
It can be easily treated by eating foods containing iron e.g.
meat, beef liver and kidney, millet, egg yolk and green leafy
vegetables, cocoa, pumpkin seeds
