Marasmus is also known as Starvation

Signs and symptoms

 The eyes are very bright

 The child had a bony face

 The child is underweight

 The child has a pot belly stomach

 Ribs and shoulder clearly visible through the skin.

 Very loose skin that sometimes hangs in folds in

the upper arms, thighs, and buttocks.

 Persistent dizziness.

 Sunken eyes.
